So how did they manage to fit the display in this thinest phone? Well below screenshot explains it well.
The iPhone 6 comes with the 8 MP iSight camera and it really captures stills very well. You can find some of the shots taken from iPhone 6 below. The camera has got f/2.2 aperture and it works well in low light conditions as well. The only drawback it has got is, it is little outside of the main body of the iPhone. That means it can not place properly on the table and camera will always be the first to contact the surface. This may damage the glass but as they have used sapphire glass to protect the camera it must not get that damaged. We will talk a little bit more about this new camera of Apple.
Apple incorporated this Focus Pixel technology in iSight camera. You might think “What on earth this is? and Why do I care?. Well, I know its not that matters to so many people but its good to know right? So, how does it work? There are dedicated pairs of focus pixels in the sensor, which reads the light coming in when lens moves in or out and they calculate whether the object is in the phase or not. This is called “Phase detection autofocus”. With this technology you iPhones will have faster autofocus and you will be able to capture best Macro photos with it. What else you have got with it,
With these many technologies wrapped into it you will be able to take incredible photos, whether they are portraits, macros, landscapes and even panoramas. You can find these in below gallery.
Well, what the heck I am more into Videography. Is that what you are thinking, then there is more for you in this phone as well. The iPhone 6 can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30, 60, 120 and even 240 FPS. It has also got Digital Image Stabilisation, with which you can grab a video with shaky hands and the processor will fix the video for you. The downside is that, it does not have Optical Image Stabilisation which is even better that Digital. But it does the job well. And the Focus Pixel technology we talked about also makes great focusing into videos. You will be amazed to see how fast it focuses on objects as you move your camera.
That’s not all, there is more. The iPhone 6’s new Front facing camera is 1.2 MP and can capture 81% of more light, has an HDR mode and burst mode. So this must be the great news for all Selfie lovers.
iPhone 6 comes preloaded with iOS 8. I will be writing all about iOS 8 in the “iOS 8 Review” so we will not talk a lot over here. But there are some features I feel worth mentioning. One of which is “One hand mode” or “Reachability”. This enables the user to use the big screen with one handed when necessary. I feel this will not be much more helpful in iPhone 6 but iPhone 6 plus. So when you will double tap in touch id button it will slide down whole screen so that you can reach to top icons easily. There is also new fitness tracker app and plenty of new notifications. There is also VoLTE for better quality calls and WiFi calling as well. So there is much more to talk about so we will do that in iOS Review.
So all these great features and brighter display will have a huge impact on battery life. iPhone 6 has a 1810 mAh battery, with which Apple is promising to go all day long with a single charge. But battery claims are always wrong as Apple tests are different and what users do on their phone is different. But still iPhone 6 will manage to give 9 to 10 hours of heavy usage.
